A member of the interim Galmudug administration assembly has accused the state of igniting the deadly conflict in Dhusamareb town which is held by Ahlu Sunna Waljama.
Speaking to Radio Shabelle on a phone, lawmaker Muhaydin Sheikh Abdulle said Galmudug state has sent SNA soldiers from the 21th army base near Adado to attacks Dhusamareb city.
“We have clear evidence that Galmudug state president Abdikarim Hussein Guled and his security minister gave the order of Dhusamareb incursion,” said Abdulle.
Continuing, the legislator added that Galmudug parliament assembly will never except to terrorize and displace innocent residents in their stable home town.
More than 20 people, most of them civilians have been killed in a day-long battle between Ahlu Sunna fighters and forces loyal to SNA defector Liban Madaxweyne in Dhusamareb this week.
Liban Madaxweyne was wounded and captured alive during the gunfight by Ahlu Sunna. Dhusamareb town is still under the control of ASWJ fighters.
